Coming into this series, we all (yes, all of us) agreed that a split against this particular Dodgers team at their home ball park in Los Angeles would suffice. Well, after Yu Darvish’s great performance last night, the Cubs have a chance to do just that with a win tonight.
Of course, they’ll have to go through arguably the toughest starting pitcher of the 2019 season, Hyun-Jin Ryu. If you can believe it, Ryu has allowed exactly 13 earned runs through 13 starts this season and has walked just FIVE BATTERS in 86.0 innings pitched. Overall, he’s 9-1. He’s been very good. Let’s see if they got what it’s takes to beat him. Go Cubs.
