Tonight, it was the White Sox making the critical mistake of hitting a first-pitch, leadoff home run. Probably.
In the bottom of the frame, the Cubs did not get a leadoff home run – just a leadoff double from Kyle Schwarber. A couple added baserunners and one out later, Willson Contreras got all grand on a two-strike pitch from current ace Lucas Giolito:
