Having made his very successful Iowa Cubs debut on Tuesday, Craig Kimbrel will be making his next appearance today, and, most notably, it could be the first half of back-to-back appearances.
Hoyer noted that Kimbrel could potentially go in back-to-back games tonight and tomorrow. Cubs will wait to see how the closer pitches, feels and recovers before making that decision.

Jed Hoyer confirmed that depending on how Kimbrel feels in the morning after throwing tonight, he could throw in back-to-back games and go again Saturday.

It depends on how today goes, obviously, but *IF* Kimbrel is able to do back-to-back today and tomorrow, that could very well set him up for another appearance on Monday/Tuesday in Iowa, and then joining the big league team by the end of next week.
The Iowa Cubs play tonight at 7pm CT, by the way.
