The Six-Man Rotation Arrives, and Adbert Alzolay Gets a Start!

Chicago Cubs

At long last, the annual(?) midseason six-man rotation has arrived, and this year’s installment has a fun prospect addition.

After his impressive debut piggybacking off of Tyler Chatwood, top pitching prospect Adbert Alzolay gets a well-earned start next week. Chatwood stays in the rotation for now, and hopefully will be a little more stretched out for this start (and efficient enough not to crush the bullpen (which might be reformed a bit by then)).

The rest of the crew gets an extra day of rest, which is always nice this time of year. Meanwhile, Kyle Hendricks is recovering well enough from his shoulder impingement so far.
