Love for the Cubs’ Two All-Star Starters, and the Cubs’ Two Futures Game All-Stars
Joining Willson Contreras and Javy Baez for All-Star weekend festivities: Cubs prospects Adbert Alzolay and Miguel Amaya, who have been selected to the Futures Game roster for top prospects.

Alzolay is currently on the big league roster, so we’ll see what’s what when All-Star weekend rolls around. As for Amaya, this is actually the second year the catching prospect was selected for the Futures Game. The 20-year-old is currently at High-A, and is generally considered the Cubs’ second best prospect behind Nico Hoerner.
The Futures Game takes place on July 7, and you can watch at 6pm CT on MLB Network and MLB.com.
Meanwhile, a little more love for Willson Contreras and Javy Baez, each of whom is making his second straight start in the big league All-Star Game:

#Cubs catcher @WContreras40 will be making his second straight All-Star Game appearance
Contreras is the first Cubs backstop to accomplish the feat in back-to-back years since Gabby Hartnett in 1936-37 pic.twitter.com/wmKkMTBVvR

Javy Baez and Willson Contreras are the first Cubs teammates to start in back-to-back All-Star Games since Ryne Sandberg and Andre Dawson in 1990-91. It's the 19th time that the Cubs have had multiple starters and 4th time the team has had teammates start in consecutive years.
