I am not going to take a shot at Eloy Jimenez on this one, even though his defense in left field has looked horrible in the times I’ve seen him.
This kind of ball falling in – with the sun the way it is right now – could happen to anyone.

Even with that ball falling in, there’s almost no way most baserunners score from second. They would be holding much, much longer to see if the left fielder caught a simple pop up. But Javy freaking Baez could see almost immediately that Jimenez could not find the ball in the sun, and thus he was basically jogging backwards to home plate by the time the left fielder had the ball.
