I’m not going to say I was worried the game was about to unravel in the 9th inning, but I’m also not going to suggest I was completely comfortable as Steve Cishek was called upon to protect a six-run lead with one out.
When a hard one up the middle looked destined for center field, the Cubs were about to find themselves just a couple batters away from the tying run coming to the plate. But Javy Baez wanted to end things right there.
