2019 #BNBlogathon Check-In: Hour 16

Chicago Cubs

I am currently blogging – here, on Facebook, and on Twitter (hash tag #BNBlogathon for those who want to jump into the fray themselves) – for 40 hours straight, past MLB’s July 31 Trade Deadline and through the Cubs/Cardinals game Wednesday night, thanks to your generous donations to Make-A-Wish. I’ll be doing recaps on the process throughout the day, but you’ll also see normal posting (Bullets, news, Pre-Gamin’, EBS, etc.), as well as a significant uptick in rumor/trade posts.

Total Posts So Far:

News and Rumors Since the Last Check-In:

The Reds, Indians, and Padres got together on a crazy trade. The Reds and Pirates got together on a crazy fight. The Cubs and Cardinals got together on a game to piss me off.

Most Interesting Tidbit Since the Last Recap:

Current Thoughts About the Chicago Cubs’ Trade Deadline Strategy/Execution:

I’m still fine with the David Phelps move, but it’s hard to sit through that game – another one that lays bare the flaws in the offense – and not just wish there was a move coming for a bat that will matter.

Current Beverage/Stimulant of Choice:

Where I’m Writing:

Just at my place, raging watching the final two innings of the game:

Strangest Thought Passing Through My Mind:

Make me feel better, dudes …
