The Waffle Iron is Gone, Now It’s The Phone

Ian Happ, who may not strike you as a fun-loving goofball, has quite an enjoyable penchant for doing silly and random things in the dugout after his teammates homer.

Remember when he and Tommy La Stella found a microphone and started interviewing teammates after home runs?

It escalated in the most delightful way:

Then last year, wanting to break up some bad feelings during a rough stretch, Happ brought out a waffle iron in the dugout to give to players when they “waffled” a baseball. Again, it was delightful:

Well, Happ is back with the big league club – hitting monster dongs of his own – and it seems he’s brought something new with him to celebrate the dingers:
