Back to a Big Group Hug at the Top of the NL Central Standings

The Cubs won a game on the road, holding a late lead – anything is possible in this sport! – and the Cardinals got whooped by the Reds, so they are right back into a tie atop the standings in the NL Central.

Meanwhile, as you can see, the Brewers managed to win a one-run game last night in Washington … which tells you absolutely nothing about the absurd game they played, which featured 14 innings, two huge blown leads of their own, a huge blown 9th inning lead by the Nationals, a blown Josh Hader save, multiple runs in extra innings, 11 home runs, and a whole lot of relievers having to bat, including the final out of the game with the tying run on third.

I mean, if you’ve got a few minutes, just watch the highlight package. What a nuts game:
