Kenney says Cubs have “launched effort” to bring All-Star Game back to Wrigley Field. Says it’s been too long and hopes to push the team’s pitch with MLB for 2022.

The Cubs last hosted an All-Star Game at Wrigley Field 30 years ago in 1990. Los Angeles and Atlanta have the game the next two years, and then hopefully it’ll be Chicago.
It’s pretty weird to think about 2022, and which Cubs could be there at the game if the team hosts. Guys like Kris Bryant, Javy Baez, Anthony Rizzo, and Kyle Schwarber are all due to be free agents before 2022.
