Inauspicious debut, eh?
Today’s Spring Training debut for the Cubs has been BESET ON ALL SIDES by tragedy: rains have pushed the game back several hours and there are questions about whether it’ll get off at all. If it does get off, the initial broadcast on Marquee won’t be viewable by half the Cubs fans in the Chicago area as carriage is still being negotiated. And if you wanted to listen on the radio, the rescheduled time conflicts with the Bulls game.
What else could go wrong, eh?
Sickness:
Bench coach Andy Green will manage tonight’s Cactus League opener. David Ross showed up with flu-like symptoms and was allowed to head home to rest.

New manager David Ross will miss his own managerial debut with the flu. DRAMA!!! OMINOUS!!!
I kid. None of this is actually a big deal for a Spring Training game, though I do hope they get to play and Ross feels better soon.
