Pre-Gamin’: Angels at Cubs (2:05 CT) and Cubs at A’s (8:05 CT) – Lineups, Broadcast Info, Game Thread

Chicago Cubs

The Chicago Cubs have a couple of games today, first hosting the Angels at Sloan Park at 2:05 CT. That game will feature something pretty darn close to an actual regular season lineup, as Ian Happ and Kyle Schwarber both make their way over from the alternate group they’ve called home so far this spring. Indeed, the only differences you might notice is Steven Souza Jr. in right field (instead of Jason Heyward), Victor Caratini behind the plate (instead of Willson Contreras, who’s DHing), and Nico Hoerner at second base (instead of Jason Kipnis/David Bote). But it’s not like that couldn’t be a “normal” regular season lineup not long into the season.

Kyle Hendricks will start this game against Joe Maddon, Tommy La Stella, Albert Pujols, Arismendy Alcantara (remember him?), and Julio Teheran.

Meanwhile, at Hohokam Stadium later tonight (8:05 CT), Alec Mills will continue his fifth starter battle with a lineup featuring Daniel Descalso at second base, red-hot Albert Almora Jr. in center field, Jason Heyward in right, and David Bote at third.

Go Cubs.
