In a short while, the Chicago Cubs will host the Texas Rangers at Sloan Park, where Yu Darvish was supposed to take the mound against his former team and do so with arguably the most “Opening Day” type lineup we’ve seen yet.
Unfortunately, the flu is back at Cubs camp and it’s claimed two new victims: Yu Darvish and Jason Kipnis. So now, we’ve got James Norwood starting in place of Darvish and Nico Hoerner sliding into Kipnis’ spot at second base. Oh well. I hope everyone feels better soon.
Go Cubs.
