There’s something about seeing a familiar face in an unfamiliar setting that jars you a bit – and, in this situation, I don’t mean that in a negative way.
Today, Anthony Rizzo appeared on ABC News to talk about what his family foundation is doing to support those at the front lines, fighting the Coronavirus outbreak in Chicago. It’s a reminder of just how far-reaching this crisis is, and just how important every one of us can be in whatever way possible:
"There’s a lot of people in tough times right now, and we’re just trying to help out any way we can," @ARizzo44, of the Chicago @Cubs, says about delivering food to hospital workers amid the novel coronavirus pandemic. https://t.co/6GtIoekOe1

Good on Rizzo, as usual. This is just a good person.
It’s among the many things we’re starting to see from those in the sports world, including MLB and Fanatics opting to halt production on official jerseys so they can instead make masks and gowns for hospital workers.
