We know this is all coming – it’s the nature of a far-reaching pandemic – but it still really hits you when the novel Coronavirus, COVID-19, actually lands somewhere you think about so closely every day.
Per the Sun-Times, the Cubs revealed this weekend that two employees have tested positive for COVID-19:

Hopefully the two employees are going to be OK, and their contact with others was limited during the last couple weeks. We know that most people affected by the virus suffer manageable symptoms, but others develop serious complications, including pneumonia, and require medical attention. Prayers up to anyone affected.
The statewide total confirmed cases in Illinois is up to 4,596, though the confirmed figure from any location right now is only as good as the testing is expansive. The numbers will continue to ramp up considerably in the coming days and weeks, and more people we know will test positive. Hopefully the necessary health care will be there for them, and God bless the front-line workers fighting this crisis.
Please, let’s all continue to do our part by staying inside, staying distant from other groups of people, and supporting those fighting COVID-19 in any way we can.
