For What It’s Worth: Vegas Still Thinks There Likely Will Be a Baseball Season

Chicago Cubs

In a situation like this, I tend to think “nobody knows nothing” is a pretty good principle, but I also always like to see the gambling odds for at least some sense of what the bookmakers (and the market) think about a given situation.

To that end, despite the hostilities, the oddsmakers do still think the baseball season starts:

To put the “no” another way, 3-1 odds means the bookmakers feel there is about a 25% chance the season does not start. That’s still a very healthy chunk, but obviously the flip side is larger.

Frankly, I kinda wish I could bet hard on the “no” right now as a hedge against my unhappiness …
