Intrasquad games are the next best thing to Spring Training Games, which are the next best thing to regular season games, and highlight packages are the next best thing to full replays, which are the next best thing to full live games, so this is like the next-next-next-next-next-next best thing, but I’m happy to watch anything new I can!
It’s highlights from yesterday’s Cubs-Cubs game, via Marquee:

Looks like Kyle Schwarber, Victor Caratini, and Javy Báez hit the ball hard again in this one, and Alec Mills had his big, breaking curveball working.
I believe I also see Duane Underwood Jr. in there getting some ugly swings and misses on his changeup. Recall, he can throw 95-96 mph and the last couple years – as he transitioned to the bullpen – started to pair it really well with that evolving changeup. He still has the curveball, but that fastball-changeup combo could be enough for him to succeed as a reliever.
