Pre-Gamin’: Cubs at Royals (6:07 CT) – Lineups, Broadcast Info, Game Thread

Chicago Cubs

Tyler Chatwood has been nothing but impressive so far this season, while the Royals – thanks, in part to the Cubs – have been the 5th LEAST productive team against right-handed pitching (74 wRC+). The Royals starter, Brad Keller, by contrast, may induce a lot of weak contact on the ground (career 52 GB% and 34 hard%), but he is also very rarely able to strike anybody out and is generally weaker against southpaws. The Cubs, with three lefties and two switch-hitters in their starting lineup tonight, have also been the fourth most productive offense against right-handed pitchers this season (125 wRC+).

So with all signs pointing to the Cubs winning their seventh consecutive game … I smell an emotional trap. Be warned. This is how baseball gets ya.

Go Cubs.
