So far, the Mets positive COVID-19 tests are proceeding like the recent positive Reds test did: no announcements yet of additional positives, but several days of game postponements all the same. It’s the better-safe-than-sorry approach given the incubation period of the virus, and I wholeheartedly endorse it.
The whole weekend series between the Mets and Yankees has been postponed:
MLB "Out of an abundance of caution and to allow for additional testing and contact tracing to be performed within the New York Mets’ organization, the games between the Mets and New York Yankees at Citi Field on Saturday, August 22nd and Sunday, August 23rd have been postponed."

The Mets had an off-day scheduled for Monday anyway, so this buys a lot of time to test, test again, and test again, and hopefully get four days’ worth of negative results before considering getting back on the field.
For now, only Mets players/personnel who were in close contact with the positive tests in Miami yesterday stayed there. The rest were permitted to travel back to New York, where it’s conceivable they could do some work this weekend, depending on testing. The better bet, though, is that even without additional positives (whether among the group still in Miami or the group that came back), the Mets will probably stay away from the park through the weekend.
That’s now four postponed games (one versus Marlins from yesterday, and three this weekend against the Yankees) that could be made up as soon as next week, since the Mets are scheduled to play these same two teams again.
