In his first at bat since fouling a pitch in the dirt that bounced up and hit his face, Happ took Adam Wainwright’s second pitch of the ballgame out of the park. It’s Happ’s fourth lead-off homer of the year as he continues to scorch the baseball.
And most importantly, it gave the Cubs a first-inning lead in Game 1 of their double-header against the Cards.
