TONIGHT ONLY! The most likable righty in the National League vs. the least likable righty in the National League.
Yu Darvish is set to take the mound for game two of this three-game set against the Reds. He’s been on a Cy Young trajectory so far this season, and as we’ve discussed, the Reds struggle against righties, particularly on the road. Of course, Darvish can’t win the game on his own. The offense will have to show up and they’ll have to do it against a tough pitcher in Trevor Bauer and without Kris Bryant or Jason Kipnis in the lineup. The Cubs do get Jason Heyward back, which is great, but this won’t be an easy one. Let’s see if they can make it three wins in a row.
Go Cubs.
