It has been way too long since we’ve gotten to see Javy Báez really, truly, absolutely destroy a ball. He has it in him, but this years, he’s just been off at the plate.
Tonight, though, having been dropped to sixth in the order, Báez freaking unLOADED on a Carlos Carrasco slider in the zone:

Carrasco knew immediately that that thing was way gone. On top of the batter’s eye in center field, out at 108.8 mph, and a whopping 450 feet. That had to feel good. Did for me.
