Sometimes, the most impressive thing about a pitcher starting a double play is him getting a good throw off to second base – it just always seems so hard for them, presumably because you’re coming right off the pitch delivery, and then rapidly having to turn all the way around (on a mound) and make a “regular” throw.
But anyway, the throw was not the most impressive part of the double play Alec Mills just started – it’s that he fielded the comeback BETWEEN HIS LEGS:
