The Chicago Cubs and Miami Marlins will kick off their round one postseason series tomorrow at 1pm CT, with Kyle Hendricks hosting Sandy Alcantara. RUDELY hosting, I hope.
Afternoon baseball is fine for a summer day, but I’ll admit, I’m not super keen on it for the postseason. I kinda like building up to it all day, and then sweating it out all night. Call me crazy.
So I’m a little bummed to learn, as the league just announced, that all three games in this series will be 1pm CT starts. It’s clear that the league wanted to showcase the Cubs on their ABC slate, which is why they wind up getting those afternoon slots – which, again, are all on ABC.
We’ll make do, of course, and it’s not like I’m *THAT* bothered. It’s just not how I picture things, you know? The playoffs are at night. Then again, the last time these teams finished up a postseason series, it made for some unpleasant evenings. Maybe this will go better.

Let's be honest, you don't know much about the #Marlins team that's about to define the #Cubs entire season – they didn't play each other even one time.
I did some digging for you to size up their 1) Offense, 2) Starters, and 3) bullpen. @BleacherNationhttps://t.co/W0cJF9jvgF
