The Houston Astros cheated. They cheated as part of a process from the front office to the coaching staff to the players. They did it for years. They did it throughout the postseason. They won the World Series in 2017, in part, because of that cheating.
Yes, baseball fans are still mad about it. No, the punishment the Astros received over the last offseason, which included no player punishment and no stripping of the title, was not sufficient. Yes, we’re all a little chipped, too, that we didn’t even get to boo the pants off these guys all season long.
So you’ll have to forgive me if I see the Astros now trying to cast themselves as victims and I get even more pissed off.

YOU. ARE. THE VILLAINS. Stop this.
Stop this:
Astros players are telling people behind scenes they’re focused, mad, and very into the idea of avenging themselves against what they consider haters. Like, say, the A’s, Yankees, Rays and Dodgers. Will be good theater. People who know these guys think they can run the table.

Avenge yourselves? What are you TALKING about? You cheated. Everyone knows you cheated. Whether you succeed now or not, that doesn’t do anything to change the fact that you are the team that screwed the AL West, screwed the AL teams in the postseason, and then screwed the Dodgers.
