Well, we didn’t get exactly the non-Cubs World Series matchup we were craving, but at least it’s not the Astros, right?
Tonight, the Los Angeles Dodgers will begin their third World Series since 2017, trying – yet again – to win it all for the first time since 1988. Third time’s the charm, eh? Meanwhile the Rays will try for their first World Series title in franchise history, though they did win the AL Pennant back in 2008, just ten years after the team was established.
Clayton Kershaw is starting for the Dodgers. Tyler Glasnow is starting for the Rays.
Considering the finances of both teams, this is a real “David and Goliath” moment. And while I am certainly pulling for the Rays, just because, I really don’t want to see whom the Dodgers buy next if they lose the World Series AGAIN.
