On the same day MLB announced it will not be disciplining Justin Turner for returning to the field at the end of the World Series knowing he’d just tested positive for COVID-19, we get word that are more cases among the Dodgers.
Five members of the Dodgers organization have tested positive so far, as well as another family member, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health:

I hope that the spread is stifled from there, and no one experiences significant illness. Every little outbreak is scary for so many reasons.
We don’t know whether the positive cases are tied to Turner’s post-test behavior, or whether they came previously via the same vector by which Turner was infected, or whether they were infected in the dugout or clubhouse earlier in the game or a previous day, or whether it’s just a coincidence that the organization has several positives right now. What we do know, and have known, is that Turner’s behavior created a risk of spread. We can try to excuse it because of the moment, and I do understand and empathize. But the reality of this virus is the reality of this virus. It doesn’t care about once-in-a-lifetime celebration opportunities, unfortunately.
