Actions have consequences. Now, the nature of those consequences might vary dramatically depending on your station in life, but they do have consequences.
New White Sox manager Tony La Russa, hired after he was charged with his second DUI (which he tried to avoid by big-timing an officer), has been sentenced … to a fine, community service, and one day of home confinement:

A small fine, a small amount of community service, and one day of having to do the thing that everyone in the country is supposed to have been doing since March. That’ll teach the 76-year-old La Russa!
La Russa is speaking the media about the DUI for the first time:
La Russa, on a conference call now: "I brought this on myself. I know it. I feel deep remorse and regret over what I did. It's impossible to explain how daily and deeply this gets at you and has bothered me for a long time."

La Russa: "There hasn't been a day since February that I haven't been upset with myself and feel tremendous remorse and regret."

La Russa: "I know I don't have a drinking problem, just like I know I made a serious mistake in February. Where I am right now is to prove I don't have a drinking problem and to prove it every day off the field that I'm going to handle it."
