Wrigley Field Will Reportedly Host Northwestern and Purdue Football This Fall
The Chicago Cubs have been looking to welcome other sports to Wrigley Field for some time now, from a college bowl game to soccer friendlies, to Northwestern sports.
That was going to include a Northwestern football game this past fall until, you know, pandemic. But it sounds like the game will be back on tap for this fall:
Teams were initially set to play Nov. 20. We'll see if that date holds but game will be sometime in November at Clark & Addison.

You may recall that Wrigley Field hosted a Northwestern game against Illinois back in 2010, rather infamously, as only one end zone was ultimately useable because of the dimensions. Fortunately, the renovations of the past few years reconfigured some of the seating to be movable in the case of a football game, so that won’t be an issue this time around.
