Spring Training Workout Dates Officially Announced – Cubs Starting Up on February 17

Chicago Cubs

With the health and safety protocols being finalized, we can now have official dates in place for Spring Training, which begins for most teams in just a week. And, by the end of this week, teams will have to list up to 75 players who can attend big league Spring Training, per those protocols.

The official first workout dates:

That first workout for the Cubs will be in eight days, and pitchers and catchers will officially report throughout the day on February 16, or just one week from today.

If you’re in the area, don’t plan on coming out to the Cubs’ facilities to watch the players work out, as in normal times. Things are going to closed up to the public this year. At most, you could come watch the games when they begin, if you’re part of the 25% capacity crowd.
