Cubs Announce Game Times for the 2021 Season, with Plenty of Day Baseball

Chicago Cubs

MLB and the Cubs today released game times for most of the upcoming season, and the Cubs are back up to a (slight) majority day games at home, with 46 out of 81 listed as day-time starts. And, yes, the 1:20pm Friday starts are back!

The Cubs also shifted their typical night start to 6:40pm CT in the early and late parts of the season (think times when kids are in school), with only the middle summer months being 7:05pm CT starts.

The opener is Thursday, April 1 at Wrigley Field against the Pirates, and it, too, is a 1:20pm start. Whether there will be any fans remains to be seen, but you can at least set your TV-watching plans accordingly.

The Cubs schedule is now updated with game times if you want to head over and check out the full slate.
