Kyle Schwarber, like Joc Pederson, is having a great Spring Training for his new club. And, as with Pederson, I’m perfectly happy about it. Maybe it can be one of those worked-out-well-for-all situations?
In any case, I can’t help but pay a little closer attention to recently-departed Cubs players. I’m still a fan.
So when I saw this random Schwarber clip cross my timeline today with an inscrutable description, I decided to watch. Turns out, it’s hilarious:
Kyle Schwarber absolutely redeemed the broadcast’s earlier follies. pic.twitter.com/6Alo4Yo7tb

Schwarber was so convinced that the runner left second base early that he shouted out – while mic’d up and being interviewed on the broadcast – to tell the pitcher to make sure to appeal. “So watch this. [Gonna be out.] 100 percent.”
Cue the sad trombone music, and the good-natured laughter.
