Well This is Awful – The Initial Diagnosis Was Wrong, and Dexter Fowler’s Season is Over

Well this is awful. An injury for Dexter Fowler that looked like a very serious certain kind of injury was later revealed to be not actually all that serious, and we fans of the former beloved Cubs outfielder breathed a sigh of relief.

Turns out that relief was just flat wrong:

The injury was what it looked like initially, which really sucks. Fowler, 35, was trying to establish himself as a solid veteran bench option for the Angels after a trade from the Cardinals. Now his season is over.

All the best on a successful surgery, and then a rehab process that could at least leave him in position to compete for a bench job at Spring Training next year for some club.
