The Cubs and Mets played a sufficiently tight one tonight that it required another inning of work. But, hey, that means if it goes well, you automatically get to enjoy a walk-off! And tonight, it was the Cubs’ first walk-off of the year!
With an assist from the free runner on second base in extra innings thing, Jason Heyward came off the bench in the 10th inning to give the Cubs a walk-off winner:

Hey, that can’t be easy – coming off the bench cold to face Edwin Diaz and 99 mph! Nicely done, Jason Heyward! That’s a winner and a sweep for the Cubs!
