Already this season – the first month of the season, the cold month of April – Kris Bryant has 50% more extra-base hits than he had all of last season. Maybe that’s a weird way to say it, but it just underscores for me how much healthier he is this year, and how much he’s driving the ball.
The latest was his seventh homer of the season, which he just sent out of Great American Ballpark to kick off tonight’s game against the Reds:

Bryant just loves hitting in Cincinnati, man. I mean, I guess most hitters do, but it seems like Bryant is always sending ’em out there.
He’s up to a .318/.398/.659 line on the season, and his 182 wRC+ is 5th best in the NL.
