That was a GREAT start to this series.
Kyle Hendricks was really good, and his final line would’ve been even better with a little more help behind him. He’s clearly turned the page on the initial struggles with command/mechanics/the new baseball/etc.
Joc Pederson kicked the game off with a homer on the very first pitch, and were on their way. Every Cubs positional starter except Willson Contreras reached base at least twice, and the bats really started pouring it on late, including an eight-run 8th:
