When Harrison Bader led off the bottom of the fourth inning with a leadoff double – immediately after David Ross was ejected from the game for arguing balls and strikes – the momentum sure felt like it was tilting in the Cardinals favor.
But Nico Hoerner (who made an excellent play) and Harrison Bader (who forgot that you can’t just run to the next base if the ball is caught on a fly) combined to put that fire out.

The very next batter, Edmundo Sosa, doubled immediately afterwords, so that saved at least one run.
