Rain is in the area and the game has been delayed.
The start of tonight’s game will be slightly delayed by inclement weather.

The Chicago Cubs have scored just 7 runs combined over their last three games. So if they’re hoping to secure a series victory tonight (and move to four games over .500 for the first time this season), the bats will have to wake up and push some runs across the plate.
Yes, yes, they did show signs of life last night with 11 hits, including four for extra bases, but they still scored only four runs against the Pirates. They’ll typically need more than that, especially with Trevor Williams on the mound. He’s been struggling for most of the season and has already been hit well by the Pirates twice.
(There is rain in the area, but for now, the game is on).
Oh, and in case you missed it, the Cubs sent Nico Hoerner to the IL, replacing him with Rafael Ortega on the roster, and Anthony Rizzo is sitting with lower back tightness.
