Patrick Wisdom (Who Did Not Get Hit By a Pitch) Just Made the Pirates Pay for Questioning Him

Chicago Cubs

Heh. It’s not the Pirates day, is it? After Javy Baez absolutely pantsed the entire Pirates team with the single most absurd play of all-time, Patrick Wisdom makes them really reconsider life.

At the beginning of his at-bat, Wisdom appeared to be hit by a pitch and so he took his free base. But the Pirates challenged the call – and “won” – as the replay revealed that the pitch hit the knob of his bat instead of his hand. But after a few more pitches were fouled away, Wisdom made them pay for questioning him:

Shoulda just taken the HBP …

That’s the Cubs second homer of the day, and they now lead 4-0.
