The Cubs suddenly started going deep in a wave, with Javy Báez and then Patrick Wisdom and now Kris Bryant all sending ’em out.
And while Wisdom’s is maybe the most fun for a fill-in player, and while Báez’s was the most impressive distance, Bryant’s is the one that incorporates three wonderful Wrigley Field traditions: the right field bleachers, the outfield basket, and someone accidentally spilling their beer onto an outfielder while trying to get the ball:

Sorry about that, Wil Myers. But that ball is important! It’s Kris Bryant’s 12th homer of the year, and a rare oppo shot for him. That fan was justified!
