I’ll explicitly push back against the jinx here, since the Cubs have, in each of the first two games of this series, hit a two-run homer for an early lead. THIS HOME RUN MEANS NOTHING AND THE CUBS WILL DEFINITELY STILL LOSE.
But it’s fun because it was yet another dinger for Patrick Wisdom:

That’s homer number five already for Wisdom, who has appeared in just 12 games, and started just 10 of them. I don’t know how long this lasts or whether he’s a legit late-20s breakout guy, but right now, he’s hitting the crap out of the ball.
