The First Hit of the Game is a Homer off the Bat of Willson Contreras!
Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo both teased us with deep fly balls, but Willson Contreras got it done.
The first hit of tonight’s game – for either side – was a no doubter off the bat of the Cubs catcher:

That homer, Contreras’ 10th of the year, was 108.5 MPH off the bat. And it brought his season slash lineup to .247/.344/.440 (117 wRC+). He is having another very good year.
