THERE IT IS! Anthony Rizzo Homers for the First Time Since May 2nd!

Chicago Cubs

Anthony Rizzo had been in a big time homer drought here lately (he hadn’t hit one out since May 2nd), but he came through with a big one tonight (101 MPH, 386 feet) to put the Cubs up by 7 runs late.

This was his second extra-base hit of the night, as well as his 3rd and 4th RBI. Check it out:

With the double and homer, Rizzo raised his SLG from .420 to .445 in one night. He’s slashing .267/.362/.445 (122 wRC+) overall.
