Let Out a (Tiny) Hooray: Kris Bryant’s X-Rays Were Negative
Well, this salvaged the night. Slightly.
Kris Bryant, who was taken out of the game after being hit in the hand by a pitch in the first inning, is probably going to be okay sooner than later. According to multiple reports after the game, the X-Rays on his hand were, in fact, negative.
X-Rays came back negative on Kris Bryant's hand. Ross made it sound like they avoided a bad scenario here. Said he didn't know if he would be in the lineup tomorrow, would talk to KB soon, but sounded like a day off wouldn't be the worst idea.

That doesn’t mean we’ll see him tomorrow for the tough matchup against Jacob deGrom. But for tonight, I’ll take the contusion (bruise) as a win. The Cubs would be in a VERY tough place without him (not only his bat, but his positional versatility).
That could have been much, much worse.
