So … advantage –> Cubs?
Tonight's Cubs starter, Alec Mills, threw a no-hitter four starts ago.

All kidding aside, this will be Mills second start of the season and just his fourth since tossing a no-hitter against the Brewers on September 13th of last season. It’s probably not often that a starter who threw a no-hitter in September doesn’t even win a rotation spot out of Spring Training the following year (on a team with so few sure-fire starters, no less), but it was understandable. I was/am still interested in learning if the Cubs have a rotation piece long-term here, BUT he also has value in his current role as a long-man/swing starter, too. You can’t just discount that.
Let’s hope he reminds us all of his potential tonight, because the Cubs could certainly use someone to eat some innings.
