The Cubs are back at Wrigley Field tonight, hosting the Miami Marlins for some Friday night baseball (I wish it were the classic Friday, 1:20 game, but what are you gonna do?). Eli, Luis, Mario, and Brett will all be in the right field bleachers for this one, so if you see them, say hi. I’ll be catching what I can of the game from a bachelor party in Park City, Utah.
As we’ve discussed, Zach Davies is taking the ball tonight coming off two of his strongest starts in a Cubs uniform (in fact, they were two of his strongest starts ever). If he really has picked now to real dial things in, he couldn’t have picked a better time. Here’s hoping he keeps it going, and perhaps shines a light on what exactly is leading to his newfound success (I’m still a little stumped, in terms of what exactly has changed).
