Well. Let’s see. At least I had some drinks and a nice time with Luis. Jason Heyward hit a homer. That’s really about it.
Because frankly, that was the most CUBES game of the year, from the constant stolen bases to the multiple dropped pop ups to the wild pitching to the onslaught from the mighty Marlins’ bats to the needless mistakes on the bases. Rough. The rotation issues are strong, and the fact that the Cubs can’t score on anything except a homer continues. Eric Sogard pitched the Cubs’ only 1-2-3 inning in the game. One of those.
Just a disastrous game all around, following a disastrous loss last night, too. I don’t know why I keep forgetting how much I hate the Marlins.
