The Cubs were unable to snag that elusive second win of the series before today, so now they have to go through Clayton Kershaw at Dodger Stadium if they want to get their split.
Fortunately, Adbert Alzolay’s last start against the Dodgers (back on May 5th) went pretty well: 5.0 IP, 3H, 2ER, 1BB, 7 strikeouts. You always hope for more length than that, but I would absolutely take 5.0 innings and 2 runs today.
It’s my dad’s 60th birthday today, so I’ll be missing most of this game. But I’ll be keeping an eye on it. Go Cubs.
