Well, the Cubs and Cardinals will head into the All-Star break tied at 44-46 after all.
Weather has banged the Cubs-Cardinals finale at Wrigley Field to September 24th, when it’ll be played as part of a split doubleheader.
Today's game between the #Cubs and Cardinals at Wrigley Field has been postponed due to inclement weather.

There are no real playoff implications given the status of each team, but I was excited to see Trevor Williams back on the mound for his first start since returning from the IL. I doubt he’d have enough time to really build up his value before the trade deadline anyway, but this postponement makes it that much tougher. In a market starved for starting pitching, that’s less than ideal, but again, not a huge problem.
The All-Star break begins right now.
